The Story Behind the Build
Family-owned. Heart-driven. Built for seniors.
Our family-inspired and locally owned assisted living and memory care community is built straight from the heart. What began as a dream — a commitment to create a true home for seniors — is now a reality, offering resort-style comfort, compassionate care, and heartfelt connections. Unlike large corporate chains, Bella Largo was founded by a family who believes senior living should feel like home, not a facility.
A Lighthouse of Hope
Our nautical-inspired theme features a working lighthouse that symbolizes the very foundation of Bella Largo’s heart and mission — to give hope, guidance, safety, and a beautiful haven for the lives of seniors. It stands as a beacon for families searching for a place where their loved ones will be truly cared for.
Every Corner Tells a Story
At Bella Largo, we blend the comfort of modern living with the charm of cherished antiques to create a cozy home that feels familiar, inviting, and full of character. Residents gather around vintage tables, reminisce over classic pieces, and share stories that spark joy, memories, and meaningful connections. It’s more than décor — it’s conversational pieces that were hand-selected to tell a story.
LaPorte’s Only Family-Owned Senior Living Community
Family ownership. Local decisions. Your loved one’s needs — always first.
At Bella Largo Senior Living, we’re proud to be the only family-owned senior living facility in the LaPorte area — and the only one built on an expansive 8-acre lot featuring a serene 3-acre lake.
Unlike large chain or conglomerate-owned communities, which often prioritize corporate profits, shareholder returns, and standardized policies, family-owned facilities like ours put residents and their well-being first. Our direct, hands-on ownership means greater flexibility in decision-making, more personalized care, and a true home-like atmosphere where staff and residents build genuine, long-term relationships. Decisions are made locally with your loved one’s needs in mind — not in distant boardrooms.
This approach fosters higher staff retention, quicker responses to individual preferences, and a warm, community-focused environment — all while keeping our commitment personal and unwavering. Combined with our unique natural setting, Bella Largo offers a peaceful, spacious retreat that’s truly one-of-a-kind for seniors and their families.
